Kim Erisman, M.S., PT
Owner and Physical Therapist
Kim Erisman, M.S., PT, is a highly regarded and experienced physical therapist in the Johnson County, Kansas area with more than 20 years of experience – known for her expertise in “dry needling.” As one of the first practitioners in the Kansas City metro area to embrace dry needling, she not only elevated her practice but also became an influential figure in this field. Kim’s dedication and mastery of dry needling have allowed her to provide outstanding care with improved outcomes to her clients while also sharing her knowledge and experience with other health care professionals.
Recognizing the transformative power of dry needling, Kim eagerly focused on the opportunity to learn and refine her skills in this game-changing therapeutic technique. Her commitment to excellence led her to become a mentor and educator, helping numerous physical therapists in the Kansas City area and around the midwest region to acquire the necessary skills to perform dry needling. Through her assistance with teachings, she has elevated the standard of physical therapy care in the region and empowered other health care practitioners to make a positive impact on their patients’ return to activities and well-being.
Kim’s genuine, energetic and kind demeanor shines through in every interaction she has with her clients. She believes in treating each individual with utmost respect, empathy and compassion. She loves problem solving and determining the HOW and WHY behind their musculoskeletal pain, not just the treatment of their symptoms. What sets Kim apart is her unwavering dedication to the well-being of her clients. She approaches every session with a genuine desire to make a positive impact and ELEVATE their road to recovery.
Beyond her professional achievements, Kim cherishes the time she spends with her family, which includes her French bulldog, Duke. She embraces outdoor adventures, exploring new places and making lasting memories together. Her love for sports, including backyard football and driveway basketball with her two boys, brings an element of fun and excitement to her life.
However, it’s probably best not to mention the time she tried to demonstrate the actions of a football nose guard banging into an offensive lineman to her 8th grade son – let’s just say it didn’t go as planned, but they all had a good laugh about it … later! Kim’s remarkable career as a physical therapist is a testament to her expertise, genuine care and unwavering dedication to her clients. Through her mastery of dry needling, empathetic approach and commitment to ongoing learning, she desires to continue to ELEVATE the lives of individuals (from fitness enthusiasts to weekend warriors) on their journey to physical recovery and improved quality of life.
